In this blog i have included 12 of my favourite images. I have given a variety of images including landscapes, Location portraits and Studio Portraits.

My main interests in photography are Landscapes and portraits. I like the business of working in a studio to a set brief and working to get the setup perfect to create the best i can, but i also like the freedom and calmness of taking landscape shots.

I am interested in this programme because i want to further my Photography into a career of a high standard and would like the chance to use top end equipment etc.

In the blog i have created i have included a variety of my work. The first two images were taken of Roche Abbey a ruined abbey near where i live in Sheffield. I love this location and was particularly pleased with the results of these two photos. I love the snow and the golden lighting from the sun on the abbey. These two images are both HDR's, a photo made up of three different exposures producing a near perfect end result.

I have included four portrait shots, two of which are of my nephew and are contemporary location portraits the other two are taken of my friends. The MGMT photo was produced to as an album cover for one of my favourite bands. It was taken in a forest near where i live and i based the photo on some lyrics from one of the bands songs 'a family of trees wanted to be haunted'. This is probably my favourite photo i have taken beacause it has a meaning behind it.

The other portrait was taken in the college studio and was an immitation of a photo of Pete Doherty for a Roberto Cavalli fashion shoot.

The other photos are landscapes one of which is of the Ladybower reservoir viaduct at night showing trails from the stars. Another is a tree at night with a nice orange sky, i like the way the tractor tracks on this photo curve and then vanish.
